When two kings face each other with one square between them, the side that is not to move holds the opposition. Here it is Black to move: the king must step aside, and the white king advances and wins.
In the same position with White to move, Black has the opposition and the game is a draw. A single tempo changes the result!
Now take the opposition yourself: bring your king in front of the pawn, facing the black king.
