- The knight moves in the shape of an L: two squares straight, then one square to the side.
- The knight is the only piece that can jump over other pieces. It can move even when it is completely surrounded.
- Move the knight to the f5 square.
- Capture the rook on c6 with the knight.
- A knight changes square colour on every move: from light to dark and from dark to light. It is worth about three pawns.
